Passionately Pink for the cure

Join us as we Crop for a Cure

September 27, 2014

For those unfamiliar with what  Scrappin it Pink is, it's just a day to mingle with fellow scrapbookers, scrapbook, have some fun, and help with trying to find a cure for breast cancer by donating to the Susan G Komen Foundation...

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. With the goal of winning this fight, Komen has committed to invest another $2 billion dollars over the next decade with the goal of achieving its ultimate vision of a world without breast cancer.

What Is It?

Scrappin' It Pink is an all day crop that started 7 years ago as ScrapPink with the Scrapbooks Etc. company.  In 2010 Scrapbooks Etc. decided not to continue on with the event. However, Stop N Crop didn't want to stop. ScrapPink was a great event and we decided to keep it going. Due to issues with name trademarks we changed the name to Scrappin' It Pink, and signed up with through Passionately Pink for a Cure. While this event is Scrapbook oriented we do welcome any and all crafters regardless of which craft you prefer.

Why Should You Participate?

Every year the committee goes all out to make this event something that can be truly wonderful and a lot of fun. Each participate's registration fee covers their $10.00 donation to Komen for a Cure, $TBA covers your catered lunch, dinner and snack (i.e. cheesecake, cookies, brownies, etc.) and $TBA covers the event itself. (info to be updated as available)
